Fantasy · AI decision support

The same process behind our betting brief, applied to daily fantasy and pick’em apps. Compare our estimate with each posted line, find the break-even for the entry, and pass when there is no edge.
Educational software — not a promise of profit. A fantasy entry can lose its whole entry fee, and no result is guaranteed. Adults 21+ only. Availability varies by state, so check the platform. Responsible betting.
Picks that do not clear the bar are left out. A thin edge on paper can still lose, and estimates can be wrong.
How Willy’s process maps to fantasy
A betting line and a fantasy line are both prices. The eight-stage process carries over: collect, project, compare, challenge, decide, size and audit.
Willy builds an independent estimate of a player’s stat from role, matchup, injuries and pace before looking at the posted line. The gap between the two matters more than the story around it.
The same stat can be posted at different lines on different apps. We lay them side by side so a half-point gap stands out, then check whether it is stale or reflects news.
Every entry has a break-even hit rate for each pick, set by its payout. We convert the payout into that number so it can be compared with our estimate and with a sportsbook’s no-vig price.
Picks from the same game often rise and fall together. Correlated picks are treated as one exposure, not several independent chances. Some apps also restrict same-team picks, so read the rules.
Entries stay small, fixed and capped as a share of a dedicated bankroll. More picks pay more but are less likely to all hit, so the stake shrinks as the variance grows.
If no line clears the break-even bar after the contrarian review, the decision is pass. Nothing forces a full slip, and an empty slip is a finished decision.
Where people play
Salary-cap DFS ranks your lineup against other entrants. Pick’em pays on whether each pick beats a posted line, at a payout the app sets in advance. Availability varies by state, so check the platform.
Daily fantasy sports. You choose a contest, then draft a lineup of real players who fill the required positions while staying under a fixed salary cap. DraftKings’ help pages describe a $50,000 cap in its classic contests, using fictional salaries that are not real pay. A lineup can be changed until the contest begins.
FanDuel also runs a sportsbook and casino; this page covers only its fantasy product. The format is similar: pick a contest, draft a lineup under a salary cap, and follow it up a leaderboard. The cap is set per sport and contest.
A pick’em app, not a salary-cap game. The app posts a stat line for a player, for example a points total. You choose More or Less, and combine several picks into one entry. The app asks for picks from at least two different teams. This page covers player stat-line picks only.
Sources and independence. These descriptions are summarized from each platform’s own public pages and help articles, read on November 1, 2026, and they may change. Win More Wagers is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any platform. Names appear in text only, to describe what each one offers. We state no fees, payouts or state lists here because they change and vary by state.
Lowest line Highest line · Line gap is highest minus lowest. A gap is a prompt to look closer, not a pick.
Sample comparison
Shopping lines works for fantasy the way it does for betting: a lower line for a More, or a higher line for a Less, is a better price for the same pick.
A sportsbook price gives a second opinion on the line. Here is how to turn it into a probability. Fictional player, line and book.
54.3% + 48.1% = 102.4%. The extra 2.4% is the sportsbook’s margin (the vig). Dividing each side by 102.4% gives a fairer 53.1% for the Over, a second opinion to set beside our own estimate.
Pick’em break-even
A payout multiplier hides a probability. If every pick in a 3-pick entry must hit and the entry pays 6×, you need all three to hit about one time in six. Spread across three picks, that is roughly 55% for each.
Break-even entry hit chance = 1 ÷ 6 = 16.7%
Per pick, if all are equal and independent = 16.7% ^ (1/3) = 55.0%
Compare: a -110 sportsbook price breaks even at 110 ÷ 210 = 52.4%So a pick that beats a -110 line is not necessarily good enough for this entry. Our process asks whether our estimate clears the bar the payout sets, not whether it looks likely.
3 picks, all must hit, example payout 6× the entry fee. Each row assumes every pick has the same chance of hitting.
| Chance per pick | Entry hits | Pays back per $1 | Result per $1 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 53% | 14.9% | $0.89 | −10.7% |
| 55.0% (break-even) | 16.6% | $1.00 | −0.2% |
| 58% | 19.5% | $1.17 | +17.1% |
Read this as an example. Payout tables vary by app, by entry type, by pick count and by state, and they can change. Always use the payout shown on your own entry screen. Some entry types also pay partial amounts when one pick misses, which needs a longer calculation. The math assumes independent picks; correlated picks change it. Our estimates are uncertain and can be wrong, and an entry can lose the whole entry fee.

No. It is decision-support software: it shows how an estimate compares with a posted line and what the entry needs to break even. There are no live fantasy picks and no results yet, and no outcome is guaranteed.
Once published, a decision will show the line, our estimate, the break-even and the reason, so you can judge it yourself. Some slates will end in a pass. Willy Walters is a fictional AI persona.
A payout sets how often your picks must hit for the entry to pay back what it costs. If your honest estimate sits below that number, the entry loses money over time even when each pick feels likely.
